Cameroon in long form the Republic of Cameroon (in English: Cameroon and Republic of Cameroon), is a country in Central Africa, located between Nigeria in the north -northwest, Chad to the north-northeast, the Central African Republic to the east, the Republic of the Congo to the southeast, Gabon to the south, Equatorial Guinea to the southwest and the Gulf of Guinea to the south -Where is whose capital is Yaoundé. The official languages are French and English for a country with a multitude of local languages. With 475,442 square kilometres (183,569 sq mi), Cameroon is the world’s 53th-largest country. The current estimated population of Cameroon is 28,518,538 as of Thursday, June 29, 2023, based on Worldometer elaboration of the latest United Nations data.

Paul Biya Cameroonian politician has served as the president of Cameroon since 6 November 1982.  He is the second-longest-ruling president in Africa and the oldest head of state in Africa.

Among Central African countries, Cameroon was the hardest hit by the COVID– 19 pandemic in 2020, from a health and economic perspective. Real GDP contracted by 2.4% in 2020, compared with growth of 3.7% in 2019. This 6.1 percentage point decline in economic activity was largely explained by the fall in world oil prices.

GDP in Cameroon was expected to reach 37.50 USD Billion by the end of 2021, according to Trading Economics global macro models and analysts’ expectations. In the long-term, the Cameroon GDP is projected to trend around 38.70 USD Billion in 2022, according to econometric models. Oil is Cameroon’s top export, representing more than half of total exports.

Young people in Cameroon constitute over 70 percent of the population. In recent years, the number of young people aged between 15 and 35 has increased dramatically in Cameroon. It is in this regard that Cameroon has implemented policies and law to cover issues of the younger generation.

With the support of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, Rwanda has made important economic and structural reforms and sustained its economic growth rates over the last decade.

Rwanda has guarded its political stability since the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi. Parliamentary elections in September 2018 saw women fill 61% of seats, the Rwandan Patriotic Front maintain an absolute majority and, for the first time, opposition parties, the Democratic Green Party of Rwanda and Social Party Imberakuri won two seats each. President Paul Kagame was re-elected to a seven-year term in August 2017, following an amendment to the constitution allowing a third term.
